Unique Ability

"Legend of the Five Suns" lets Builder charges be spent to instantly complete 20% of a district's Production cost — a direct way to rush districts, not just tile improvements. Montezuma's own ability, "Gifts for the Tlatoani," extends each luxury resource's Amenity to 2 extra cities, and gives +1 Combat Strength when attacking for every different luxury resource improved in Aztec territory.

Unique Unit: Eagle Warrior

A cheap Ancient era melee unit replacing the Warrior, with a chance to capture defeated enemy military units and convert them directly into Aztec Builders instead of simply destroying them.

Unique Infrastructure: Tlachtli

A unique building providing 2 Amenities, +2 Culture, +2 Faith, and a Great General point — with +1 Tourism once the Conservation civic is unlocked.

How to Play Aztec

  • Spend Builder charges on districts, not just improvements — rushing a district straight to 20% completion is a real, repeatable snowball.
  • Grab as many different luxury resources as you can; each distinct type improved adds to the attack-strength bonus, not just the Amenity spread.
  • Use Eagle Warriors aggressively early — converting defeated units into Builders offsets the cost of early skirmishes.
