The Short Version

Epoch Almanac has no user accounts, no comment system, and no newsletter — we don't ask you for personal information, and we don't store any on our own servers. The data collection that does happen comes from two third-party services common to most websites: Google Analytics (to understand site traffic) and Google AdSense (to serve advertising). Both are described in full below, along with your choices.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, roughly where traffic comes from, and how people move through our guides. This helps us decide what content to improve or add.

Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, pages visited, and time spent, using cookies and similar technologies. This data reaches us only in aggregated form; we do not receive personally identifying information about individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site:

Data Stored in Your Browser (Our Interactive Tools)

Our Tier List Builder saves your tier arrangement in your browser's localStorage, so your list survives a page refresh. This data stays entirely on your own device — it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website. Our other tools (the adjacency calculator and tree explorers) do not store anything.

What We Don't Do

• We don't have user accounts, so we never collect names, passwords, or profiles.
• We don't sell, rent, or share any visitor data — we couldn't; we don't hold any.
• We don't run our own tracking beyond the Google services described above.

Children's Privacy

This site is a general-audience game strategy resource and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. As described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone directly.

Changes to This Policy

If our actual data practices change — for example, if we ever add a comment system or newsletter — this policy will be updated before those changes go live, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect it.
